Someday

Everyone will tell you-
you just aren't
good enough,

someday,
the sun just won't come
up in the morning.

someday, superman will die.
someday, Antarctica will melt.
someday, an education will be impossible to get.
someday, there will be a third world war.

our children, and our children's children
will watch it all continue to happen.

but nobody will know-
that what i feel inside-
is just what they're watching
the world do.
